About the role
Job Description:
The role is accountable for the preparation of Local Statutory Financial Accounts, ensuring that the local Company Directors’ fiduciary duties are met and requires collaboration between different Mars Finance functions.
The role will be part of the ICTC Cluster Europe Central and South with all Local Statutory Account activities for Mars legal entities within Central and South Countries (Czech, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Greece, Italy, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Israel) being managed by a Statutory Team. Statutory Manager for Central and South leads the Statutory Team and is responsible for all Local Statutory processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Designs and implements adjustments from USGAAPs Mars primary books to local statutory accounting books for all business units across all segments in Central and South Cluster to ensure that business units meet their local accounting obligations.
Prepares all Local Statutory Financial Accounts for all business units in Central and South Cluster with the support of external specialized service providers
Coordinates all third party Audits of the Local Statutory Financial Accounts for all business units in Central and South Cluster and ensure all information is timely provided by all functions involved in the audited processes.
Coordinates the filing of the Local Statutory Financial Accounts.
What are we looking for?
Minimum 4 years of experience in general accounting.
Preferably with an academic background in Banking, Accounting or Economics.
Proficiency in English.
A collaborative person with strong communication skills.
High learning agility to learn new accounting legislation building on the current expertise to create a specialist support for the business relating to statutory reporting.
