We are seeking an experienced Asset & License Management Lead to oversee IT asset lifecycle management and software license compliance across global operations. The role requires a hands‑on leader with expertise in CMDB and Software Asset Management (SAM) tools, strong vendor/client management skills, and the ability to drive KPI‑based governance and reporting.

What will you do?

  • Lead the end‑to‑end IT asset and license management function across hardware, software, and cloud services.
  • Manage and maintain the CMDB (Configuration Management Database) ensuring accuracy and integrity of asset data.
  • Oversee SAM tools for license tracking, compliance, and optimization.
  • Define and enforce policies and processes for asset lifecycle management (procurement, onboarding, usage, retirement).
  • Monitor and report on KPIs, SLAs, and compliance metrics to leadership.
  • Collaborate with procurement, finance, and ITSM teams to ensure cost optimization and compliance.
  • Manage vendor relationships for hardware/software contracts and negotiate renewals.
  • Partner with clients and stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment on asset usage and license compliance.
  • Prepare audit reports and ensure compliance with ISO 20000, ISO 27001, and regulatory standards.
  • Drive automation initiatives to streamline asset tracking and reporting.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members in asset and license management best practices.

Experience, Education and other Required:

  • Experience: 10–12 years in IT asset and license management, with at least 3–5 years in a Global Lead role
  • Strong hands‑on expertise in CMDB management and SAM tools (ServiceNow SAM, Flexera, Snow, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in vendor management and contract negotiation for hardware/software licenses.
  • Solid understanding of ITIL processes (especially Asset & Configuration Management).
  • Experience in client management and global stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data and drive cost optimization.
  • Excellent communication, reporting, and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with cloud licensing models (Azure, AWS, M365).
  • Exposure to audit and compliance frameworks (ISO 20000, ISO 27001, GDPR).
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • ITIL v4 certification mandatory.
  • Certifications in SAM/IT Asset Management (CSAM, CHAMP, CAMP) preferred.
  • PMP/Prince2 or equivalent project management certification is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of financial and contractual aspects of IT asset management.
  • Industry: Energy/Power sector
