Compensation: $125,000 to $150,000 annually, pro-rated for part time. depending on experience
Lexington Animal Hospital is currently welcoming a part time Veterinarian to join our award-winning small animal hospital, providing care for dogs and cats in the Waterloo region. Since 1984, Lexington Road Animal Hospital has been serving pet owners and their pets in Waterloo, Kitchener, Conestogo, St. Jacobs, Breslau, Bloomingdale and surrounding communities.
Key requirements:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a hospital setting performing advanced veterinary procedures
Valid veterinarian license permitting practice in Canada
Confident and experienced in surgical procedures, including both elective and non-elective surgeries
Strong competency and confidence in dental procedures
Experience in preventative care, including providing nutritional guidance and recommendations
Commitment to team-based, collaborative veterinary medicine
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills when working with colleagues, clients (pet parents), and the broader community
Passion for coaching, mentoring, and supporting DVM students and early-career veterinarians
Interest in continued professional development, including attending conferences and networking with peers
Genuine love and compassion for all companion animals
