About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Analytics Consultant

In this role, you will:

  • Consult with business line and enterprise functions on less complex research
  • Use functional knowledge to assist in non-model quantitative tools that support strategic decision making
  • Perform analysis of findings and trends using statistical analysis and document process
  • Present recommendations to increase revenue, reduce expense, maximize operational efficiency, quality, and compliance
  • Identify and define business requirements and translate data and business needs into research and recommendations to improve efficiency
  • Participate in all group technology efforts including design and implementation of database structures, analytics software, storage, and processing
  • Develop customized reports and ad hoc analyses to make recommendations and provide guidance to less experienced staff
  • Understand compliance and risk management requirements for supported area
  • Ensure adherence to data management or data governance regulations and policies
  • Participate in company initiatives or processes to assist in meeting risk and capital objectives and other strategic goals
  • Collaborate and consult with more experienced consultants and with partners in technology and other business groups


Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Partner with a wide range of stakeholders—including Business Advisory Leaders (BALs), technology and platform teams, and ATL (Above‑the‑Line) and BTL (Below‑the‑Line) investigation teams—to understand business needs and drive clear, scalable requirements.
  • Elicit, document, and validate functional and non‑functional requirements, ensuring alignment between business objectives and technology solutions.
  • Test application readiness by working closely with technology teams, designing and executing test scenarios, and validating end‑to‑end functionality.
  • Analyze datasets using tools such as Excel, SQL (intermediate), and GenAI‑enabled analytics tools to support insights, decision‑making, and solution design.
  • Build high‑quality presentations and supporting materials—leveraging GenAI tools where appropriate—to communicate findings, recommendations, and project updates to stakeholders.
  • Understand existing business processes and design GenAI‑based automation ideas, including creating, refining, and testing prompts.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to Identify validated automation ideas and support their implementation.
  • Continuously build subject matter expertise and domain understanding relevant to the business and regulatory environment.
  • Strong business analysis and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across business and technical audiences.
  • Comfort working in a technology‑enabled environment and engaging with development, platform, and data teams.
  • Experience or working knowledge of Excel and SQL for data analysis.
  • Familiarity with GenAI tools and a willingness to experiment and apply them in practical business contexts.
  • Structured problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn new domains and technologies quickly.
  • Python knowledge (desirable but not mandatory).
  • Experience in or exposure to AML / Financial Crime / Risk domains.
  • Prior experience working on automation, AI‑driven solutions, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Consulting or professional‑services background
