About the Role

Location: Santarém, Pará – Brasil

The Resource and Reserve Planning Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning and support of resource development activities, with a focus on Life of Mine (LoM) and mine closure planning. This role requires a highly analytical and detail-oriented Mine Engineer who can effectively manage long-term planning and ensure the sustainable development and closure of mining operations.

You will achieve this by:

  • Develop and implement resource development plans, including Long-Term Planning (LTP) and Life of Mine (LoM) support.

  • Oversee the planning of mine closure activities, ensuring compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate with other support areas, including Permits and Legal Advisory, Communities Support, EHS, and HR, to ensure comprehensive planning and execution of resource development projects.

  • Provide technical guidance and support in the development of resource models and mine plans.

  • Ensure the integration of best practices in resource development planning and mine closure.

  • Monitor and report on the progress of resource development and mine closure projects, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.

  • Foster a culture of safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement within the team.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of resource development and mine closure activities.

What you can bring to the role

  • Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • Experience in resource development planning and mine closure management.

  • Strong knowledge of long-term planning, resource modeling, and mine closure techniques.

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools for resource development planning and mine closure.

  • Fluency in Portuguese and English.

  • Availability to work on site in Santarém, Pará.
