About your team

 

The Japan HR team has six employees to manage all matters related to Human Resources of FIL Investment (Japan) Limited, FIL Securities (Japan) K.K., and FIL Japan Holdings K.K, working with Center of Excellence group member of CPO (Chief People Office) function toward Japan business goals.

 

Resourcing is part of a global HR team operating as the face of Fidelity International with a focus on attracting and hiring the best talent in the market. The team operates across EMEA, India and APAC, delivering a global, standardised experience, enhanced by local cultural nuances, essential for our key locations.

In rapidly changing markets, we act as brand ambassadors, partnering with our businesses to ensure we attract and secure exceptional diverse talent contributing to our vision of building better financial futures for our customers.

The team act as the primary owners for the end-to-end internal and external recruitment processes,

for both lateral hiring and early careers, utilising a range of sourcing channels and platforms. There is significant liaison with internal teams to ensure a smooth onboarding process. They are also responsible for the supplier relationship management of our Preferred Supplier Lists and also regularly contribute to strategic projects both within resourcing and the wider CPO function. About your role

Working closely with your stakeholders across primarily the Japan platform, but in addition other business groups across APAC as required, your role will focus on attracting diverse talent for both the experienced hires and early careers programmes. This will include the following:

 

  • Establish strong partnerships with stakeholders of all functions to deliver a value add, consultative recruitment service

  • Active recruitment and ownership for end to end delivery for hiring requirements primarily in Japan – following the global standards in early careers and experienced hires

  • Determining key business requirements through developing and maintaining relationships across the business and working in partnership with the HR community

  • Develop multi channel sourcing strategies, with a focus on a balance of direct sourcing and quality of candidate

  • Supplier Relationship Manger to core local/country Early Careers Vendors to deliver campus events and early intervention initiatives

  • Positioning Fidelity as an employer of choice, developing talent pools in addition to managing engagement with candidates throughout the selection process

  • Supporting and delivering the Resourcing D&I recruitment strategy

  • Briefing all individuals involved in the selection process on their role, inclusive recruitment best practice and selection techniques

  • Working across both Early Careers and Experienced Hire ATS platforms to deliver a tailored candidate experience and globally consistent assessment and selection process

  • Working with the business to ensure system adoption with our applicant tracking system (Workday and Oleeo)

  • Executing approval and offer processes and ensure continued candidate engagement until start date

  • Working with Compensation & Benefits teams to ensure we remain competitive

  • Managing key supplier relationships (3rd party agencies where required)

  • Providing recruiting analytics and data-driven people and organizational insights for decision making to both HR head and business where required

  • As required, other ad hoc projects and activities

  • Participating in global or regional HR projects or initiatives whenever possible.

 

 

About you

  • Proven specialist recruitment expertise, ideally gained within Financial Services

  • Knowledge of Workday Recruitment Module and other ATS systems

  • Great stakeholder management skills

  • Pride in delivering an exceptional candidate experience

  • Great influencing skills

  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Japanese.

  • Customer focused with a positive attitude

  • Solutions-oriented problem solver with logical thinking
