Job Description
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Junior Software Engineer to support the design and development of cutting‑edge cyber capabilities that protect national security. You will work with experienced engineers on embedded systems, network technologies, and security‑focused software development. This is an excellent opportunity for an early‑career engineer who is eager to learn, build technical depth, and grow within advanced cyber programs.
Responsibilities:
• Contribute to the design, development, and testing of embedded and application‑level software
• Support the development of security analysis tools and software‑hardening techniques
• Assist in vulnerability research and analysis of systems and networks
• Participate in reverse engineering tasks with guidance from senior engineers
• Learn and apply network technologies such as IP/MPLS, 4G/5G, and optical transport
• Work with senior engineers to understand customer requirements and translate them into technical tasks
• Obtain and maintain a government security clearance
Qualifications:
Required:
• 0+ years of experience with one or more languages such as C, C++, Python, etc.
• Basic experience with Linux environments (boot, kernel, or user space)
• Familiarity with at least one assembly language: MIPS, x86, PowerPC, or ARM
• Understanding of IP networking concepts and telecommunications systems
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
• Active Top Secret clearance
Desired:
• Active TS/SCI clearance strongly preferred
• Coursework of projects involving cybersecurity, vulnerability analysis, and modern network technologies
• Exposure to reverse engineering tools or ethical hacking practices
• Experience or interest in embedded system software development
• Familiarity with assembly languages
