This opportunity is to be a part of a global engineering team supporting 20+ countries in delivering Control Systems projects (Design, Engineering, testing, commissioning and consulting).In this role, you will lead multiple projects of moderate size or major projects, cost effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

The work model for the role is: # LI Hybrid 

This role is contributing to the Process Automation business for Energy Industries division based in Bangalore, India.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Execute assignments using established solutions. May act as a design authority and completes engineering assignments.
  • Collaborates on project installation, commissioning and site activities, clarifying potential issues or providing solutions to correct engineering errors.
  • Provides technical support to commissioning and start-up activities.
  • Assists in creating proposals for projects.
  • Supports Contract Manager in issuing claims.
  • Creates work plans and cost estimates in one’s area of responsibility.
  • Evaluates risks and opportunities, strategizes mitigation of one’s engineering projects/programs.
  • Interact with customers, contractors, suppliers.
  • Oversee the creation of subcontracts and manage subcontractors jointly with other involved functions.

Skills/Knowledge required:

  • Minimum 6 to 10 years of design, engineering, testing, commissioning and consulting experience of Control and Safety Systems in oil & gas production / refining / petrochemical / pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams.
  • TUV Functional Safety Engineer Certification (or equivalent).
  • Working knowledge of the Safety Lifecycle and participation in functional safety assessments.
  • Working knowledge of IEC61508 and IEC61511.
  • Proficiency in Safety System design, application programming, hardware design, and HMI graphics development.
  • Experience in safety system hardware inspection, FAT, SAT, loop checks, start-up and commissioning.
  • Must have good communication & leadership capabilities.
  • Must have strong team-building skills and Willingness to travel to customer sites.
