Howden Hellas, a leading multinational Insurance and Reinsurance Broker in Greece is growing and we are seeking a dynamic and driven insurance professional to join our team as : MARINE INSURANCE BROKER

Role Summary:
As part of our team, you will be responsible for supporting clients in finding the most suitable marine insurance solutions to protect their vessels, cargo and maritime operations from potential maritime risks and losses. Acting as the main contact for clients, delivering high service standards ensuring full compliance with policy and legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Developing and handling a portfolio of clients, achieving the team’s targets for new business and renewal/retention of current clients, ensuring timeframes and deliverables are met.
• Dealing with clients, identifying, evaluating, and presenting their marine risk exposure, providing tailored marine insurance solutions.
• Supporting clients during the marine risk assessment and underwriting process.
• Placing new business, reviewing and negotiating complex marine insurance policies to mitigate risk exposure.
• Collecting insurance information, preparing broking slips and underwriting submissions.
• Cultivating and maintaining excellent client relationships; arranging and attending meetings, conducting in-depth discussions and developing a positive business relationship built on mutual trust.
• Ensuring that the company’s workflow systems are updated promptly to reflect the current status of any risk.
• Working side by side and in close collaboration with our Sales team ensuring timeframes are met.
• Liaising with the various divisions to provide client-centric solutions and keep all relevant parties informed regarding account status and general business issues.
• Keeping up to date with developments in the marine insurance market.
• Ensuring compliance with regulations and internal procedures.
Requirements:
• BSc in Insurance Science, Economics, Maritime Studies, or related field. MSc will be considered an asset.
• More than 5 years of experience in Marine Insurance / Marine Risks.
• Excellent English command and Computer skills (MS Office).
• Strong negotiation skills, striving for high customer satisfaction.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills.
