The Senior Manager, CMO tech, scouting & innovations is part of the CMO Procurement organization will report to Director, CMO Tail & N-tier management. This critical role is responsible for leading sourcing and supplier management activities across a portfolio of external manufacturing partners, with a strong focus on technology scouting and driving innovation. This role is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and onboarding contract manufacturers with advanced capabilities that support Haleon’s growth, resilience, and product innovation agenda.

In this role you will…

  • Leading sourcing and procurement strategy for contract manufacturing partners across key categories

  • Identifying, scouting, and evaluating new contract manufacturers with advanced and innovative capabilities

  • Driving innovation by connecting external manufacturing technologies with internal product development needs

  • Building and managing strategic relationships with global contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs)

  • Partnering with R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to support new product launches and pipeline delivery

  • Monitoring supplier performance and driving continuous improvement through structured governance and KPIs

  • Assessing and mitigating supply chain risks, including capacity, regulatory, and geopolitical factors

  • Championing sustainability and ESG considerations within the contract manufacturing network

  • Staying ahead of market trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices to strengthen competitive advantage

  • Implement standard work processes across the Procurement responsibilities in line with Global direction, aligned with the Integrated Sourcing Program and Contract Life Cycle Management processes.

  • Be a strong advocate of the CMO model across the organization, ensuring flawless communication processes with the CMO team.

  • Ensure robust contract compliance processes are in place and in use across assigned CMOs.

  • Assess, monitor and remediate CMO material management capabilities to ensure success in the ability to service business requirements.

Roles Responsibilities

Contract Manufacturing Procurement

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for contract manufacturing across key product categories.

  • Identify, qualify, and manage a global network of CMOs

  • Ensure supply continuity, cost competitiveness, and compliance with quality and regulatory standards.

Technology Scouting & Innovation

  • Proactively scout for new manufacturing technologies, capabilities, and partners that enable product innovation and operational efficiency.

  • Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to align external capabilities with internal innovation pipelines.

  • Evaluate emerging trends in contract manufacturing (e.g., digital manufacturing, sustainability solutions, advanced formulation technologies).

  • Drive partnerships with innovative suppliers to accelerate speed-to-market and competitive advantage.

  • Drive supplier innovation programs and co-development opportunities.

Risk & Compliance Management

  • Assess and mitigate supply chain risks, including capacity constraints, geopolitical risks, and regulatory compliance.

  • Ensure suppliers meet Haleon’s quality, ESG, and compliance requirements.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Partner with internal stakeholders across Procurement, R&D, Quality, Regulatory, and Operations.

  • Support new product launches by identifying and onboarding suitable manufacturing partners.

  • Contribute to long-term category and innovation strategies.

  • Ensure overall CMO Procurement Internal controls compliance for the assigned CMOs.

  • Ensure robust contract compliance systems and measures are in place.

Basic Skills (Essential):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing or related field

  • 10+ years of operational procurement experience

  • Strong expertise in sourcing, quotation analysis, contract negotiation, and supplier management

  • Solid understanding of procurement processes and tools across the sourcing lifecycle

  • Strong knowledge of finance (cost benchmarking, supplier audits) and legal/contracting principles

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities using structured project management approaches

  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder influencing capabilities

  • Ability to operate effectively in high-pressure, deadline-driven environments

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working in matrix/global organizations

  • Deep understanding of supplier relationship models and external market dynamics

  • Direct procurement experience across materials and packaging categories

  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to build collaborative partnerships

  • Clear understanding of business value drivers, priorities, and implementation risks

  • Experience in procurement risk management frameworks
