Role Definition
The Engineering Site Systems Engineering Lead – Quarry leads integrated site systems engineering for quarry applications, converting customer and business needs into scalable solution requirements, architecture, delivery plans, and baseline updates. This role provides technical leadership across site engineering, product value stream, architecture, delivery, and validation teams to deliver safe, multi-system site solutions.
This position supports autonomy and digital solutions that connect machines, operators, and site systems across quarry environments. It focuses on cross-functional systems engineering, architecture alignment, and end-to-end system integration across office, onboard, safety, and digital domains.
What You Will Do
Define and maintain end-to-end quarry interfaces, constraints, and system behaviours for integrated site solutions.
Work with machine, onboard and embedded, office software, architecture, and site engineering teams to align solution behaviours, interfaces, and data flows.
Lead architecture activities for quarry site solutions, including requirements traceability, verification planning, technical reviews, integration planning, and support for key program and NPI deliverables.
Maintain key systems engineering artifacts as products evolve and support baseline updates for deployed quarry solutions.
Drive resolution of cross-product and cross-team integration issues impacting solution performance, readiness, and long-term maintainability.
Participate in technical reviews and architectural governance forums to protect long-term solution integrity and ensure quarry needs are represented in cross-domain decisions.
Key Deliverables
End-to-end quarry site solutions and interface definitions
Architecture guidance and approved cross-system design decisions
High-level design and site detailed design inputs for quarry solutions
Requirements traceability, verification planning, and evidence for program or NPI milestones
Integration plans, issue resolution tracking, and cross-team risk mitigation actions
Baseline updates supporting deployed quarry solutions
What You Have
Managing Multiple Priorities: Ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives across solutioning, deployment, issue resolution, and stakeholder coordination while maintaining progress on key deliverables and adapting to changing business and site needs.
Technical Excellence: Demonstrated ability to apply strong technical judgment to solve complex site integration, autonomy, and systems engineering challenges, using sound engineering practices to support reliable and scalable quarry solutions.
Influencing Through Expertise: Ability to influence technical decisions across cross-functional teams through credibility, evidence-based recommendations, and strong systems engineering knowledge, even without direct authority.
