Concrete Plant Manager

Lead, Build and Succeed

We are seeking an enthusiastic and capable leader to join our team as a Concrete Plant Manager in Cairns.

This is a hands-on, multi-functional leadership role where you will take ownership of plant operations, lead a diverse team, and deliver exceptional customer outcomes. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead day-to-day plant operations across safety, production, logistics, customer service, and sales

• Deliver high-quality customer service through effective management of plant and truck availability

• Oversee fleet and logistics coordination, including contractors (LODs), suppliers, and transport performance

• Plan and manage plant capacity, forward orders, and resource allocation to meet demand and avoid overbooking

• Monitor and manage financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, and resource optimisation

• Ensure all procurement and purchasing activities comply with company policies, budgets, and approved supplier agreements

• Maintain product quality standards in line with business and customer requirements

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through proactive engagement and service delivery

• Ensure all quotations, contracts, billing, and credits are completed accurately and on time

• Maintain fixed and mobile assets in line with required service intervals

• Lead a proactive safety culture, ensuring full compliance with all safety policies and procedures

• Provide strong leadership to develop, coach, and manage team performance

• Maintain accurate operational and financial reporting in relevant systems

About You:

• Proven leadership experience in operations, manufacturing, logistics, or a similar environment

• Strong commercial acumen, with exposure to P&L, budgeting, and cost control

• A strong commitment to safety leadership and risk management

• The ability to manage competing priorities and make effective decisions under pressure

• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build lasting relationships

• A proactive and solutions-focused mindset with strong planning capability

• A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and operational excellence
