About the role
Operate and Assist
We have an opportunity for a Quarry Operator to join our team at Clarence Quarry located within the Blue Mountains near Lithgow, New South Wales.
Reporting to the Quarry Supervisor this is a permanent full-time role, working Monday to Friday with ample opportunity for overtime and potential Saturday work.
We are seeking applicants who have a passion for safety and value strong work ethic, as well as be willing and able to work a varied role in sand washing plant operations and general maintenance activities.
In your new role with us, you will:
Operate mobile equipment including Dump Trucks, Front End Loaders and Excavators
Operate the sand washing plant
General fixed plant inspections & maintenance
During busy periods we expect all employees to pitch in and perform any/all quarry tasks where needed
This role is a great fit for you if you have:
Valid tickets and experience (preferred) operating a Loader, Dump Truck and Excavator
Total commitment to Zero Harm and Safety Leadership
Strict adherence to fixed and mobile plant pre-start & maintenance procedures
Ability to work in a small team and unsupervised
Professional work ethic with a "can do" attitude
What we offer:
Base hourly rate from $35.54 and up to $39.35 – pending qualifications & experience + overtime rates + super
Shifts start at 6am and working 8-10 hours, on average. Usually, a 4pm finish.
