Location Overview
Join our team in Aman Sveti Stefan. A country famed for its beauty, Montenegro’s most iconic destination is the tiny islet of Sveti Stefan overlooked by Villa Miločer, a graceful stone residence set on a pink sand beach. The former residence of Queen Marija Karađorđević, Villa Miločer offers several elegant suites, while the island provides accommodation in 15th-century stone cottages. Together they comprise the unequalled Aman Sveti Stefan.

The Security Manager, reporting into the General Manager, is responsible for safeguarding the safety, security, and wellbeing of all guests, staff, and assets across Aman Sveti Stefan. This includes developing and overseeing security strategies, emergency procedures, and risk mitigation measures that align with the discreet environment of the property. A high level of discretion, vigilance, and leadership is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the use and maintenance of surveillance systems, access controls, radios, and emergency equipment.
  • Conduct routine patrols and inspections of guest areas, staff zones, back-of-house, and perimeter security posts.
  • Develop, review, and lead emergency response protocols for fire, medical, natural disaster, and security incidents.
  • Coordinate drills and scenario-based training with both internal teams and outsourced guards.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities across the property.
  • Discreetly oversee VIP protection protocols where required, including coordinating additional resources.
  • Ensure respectful handling of guest incidents, lost property, or complaints related to security.
  • Ensure full compliance with local laws, Aman corporate standards, and insurance requirements.
  • Maintain detailed records of incidents, audits, inspections, training, and communication with the outsourced agency.
  • Ensure appropriate deployment, grooming, discipline, and guest interaction standards are consistently upheld by outsourced staff.

Requirements

  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Criminal Justice or related major; 5 year experience in the security/loss prevention or related professional area, preferably in the luxury hospitality industry. 
  • Strong knowledge of security practices, protocols, technology systems, and risk management.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to manage and motivate a security team.
  • Exceptional communication skills in Spanish and English, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess risks, make informed decisions, and implement corrective actions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to handle crises and emergencies with composure.
  • Detail-oriented approach and a commitment to maintaining accurate security records.
  • Knowledge of local laws and regulations related to security, safety, and emergency response.
