Northrop Grumman Weapon Systems Division (WSD) seeks an International Strategy & Business Development (BD) Analyst (Level 2) to support WSD industrial cooperation and other related international business development activities. The successful candidate will conduct support activities related to industrial engagement strategy, planning, development, and execution support. Additional BD activities may include customer engagement coordination, project management, SalesForce data analysis, and general creative thinking involved in international business development.

The International Strategy & BD Analyst reports to the International Business Development and Industrial Cooperation Manager and will be located primarily on site in Falls Church or McClean, VA. This position will interface with sector and division staff to execute business development coordination activities in accordance with WSD processes, interface with international industry representatives, manage data and metrics, and conduct analysis and research to support development of sector priorities.  The position will also support planning, to include development of preparatory materials for international events, site visits (external and internal) and customer engagements.

The candidate will support or conduct the following activities:

  • Create solutions and suggest improvements to manage industrial cooperation activities using Salesforce and other tools available to the company; identify and implement best practices to fully and accurately assess the value of international industry engagements
  • Research and maintain currency on industrial cooperation policies in countries where WSD is pursuing or executing captures and/or programs; monitor and update relevant information in SalesForce Dashboard
  • Support the development of a BD-GSC practice toward industrial cooperation efficiency and functionality
  • Maintain meeting and event records using various tools, such as Salesforce. Help track and execute follow up actions. Create solutions to manage international engagements using Salesforce.
  • Support planning, message development, and execution of foreign industry visits to Northrop Grumman facilities. Help ensure integration of WSD priorities as well as broader Northrop Grumman priorities, taking into account the visitors’ interests and goals.
  • Support engagements with government relations, corporate communications and other Northrop Grumman sectors to advance WSD industrial cooperation interests. Support coordination amongst the different corporate stakeholders.
  • Through market research and analysis, support execution of WSD international business development priorities and increase understanding of customer and industry perception. 
  • Maintain a level of discretion and confidentiality when dealing with special projects.
  • Support customer engagement planning including tradeshow planning, executive prep, trip books and talking points
  • Manage the NG Country of Concern process for WSD activities

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have at least 6 years of experience. Will consider those with a bachelors degree and at least 2 years of experience or those with a masters degree and 0 years of experience.
  • Experience creating executive level briefings as well as experience interacting with senior level leaders.
  • Experience with Salesforce.
  • Ability to navigate different types of organizations and embrace a collaborative, teamwork approach to challenges.
  • Excellent critical thinking, organization, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage expectations and activities of cross-matrixed teams and stakeholders.
  • Capability to set priorities and work under pressure in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong oral and written communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Ability and willingness to travel 50% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current active DOD Secret or Top-Secret security clearance
  • Related bachelors or higher degree
  • Professional experience in Aerospace & Defense
  • Experience working with internal and external personnel on matters often requiring coordination between organizations
  • Experience working on international efforts
  • Experience in creative project management
  • Excellent problem solving and organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with artificial intelligence tools

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
