Job Description

Get to Know Us

Horizon3.ai is a fast-growing, remote cybersecurity company dedicated to the mission of enabling organizations to proactively find, fix and verify exploitable attack vectors before criminals exploit them. Our flagship product, the NodeZeroTM platform, delivers production-safe autonomous pentests and other key assessment operations that scale across the largest internal, external, cloud, and hybrid cloud environments. NodeZero has been adopted by organizations of all sizes, from small educational institutions to government agencies and Global 100 enterprises. It is used by IT Ops/SecOps teams, consulting pentesters, and MSSPs and MSPs.

We are a fusion of former U.S. Special Operations cyber operators, startup engineers & operators, and formerly frustrated cybersecurity practitioners. We're committed to helping solve our common security problems: ineffective security tools and false positives, resulting in alert fatigue, blind spots, "checkbox” security culture, cybersecurity skills shortage, and the long lead time and expense of hiring outside consultants. Collectively, we are a team of learn-it-alls, committed to a culture of respect, collaboration, ownership, and results.

As a remote first company, we require minimum 25Mbps consumer grade broadband connection.

What You'll Do

We’re looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead our Integrations & API team — a high-impact group within our Application Platform team whose mandate is critical to the scalability of our platform. This nascent team will help push our existing APIs to be first-class citizens, building the consistent, well-documented foundation that powers every integration and allows customers to build their own agentic workflows atop our platform. No less critical, this team will build strategic integrations to unlock critical new features atop mountains of complimentary data from users own systems. We want to meet users where they are at with their current tooling, and use the products they already have in their ecosystem to drive the find-fix-verify loop with greater accuracy and less downtime.

This is a technical leadership role focused on driving excellence in fundamental capabilities - our API platform and our integrations platform. We expect this individual to help drive long term sustainable strategy around integrations- evaluate the existing market, partner closely with product to understand customer needs, and execute on targeted short term plays which feed into the longer product vision.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has lived and breathed Integrations in a past life, and understands the power that a scalable API platform can allow for an entire class of power-users.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience leading teams of 6+ cross functional software engineers.

  • Proven experience leading highly technical backend or platform engineering teams — ideally within a SaaS, cybersecurity, or cloud-scale environment.

  • Experience leading initiatives around API platforms, headless customer experiences, or agent-based customer flows.

  • Experience with an integrations platform, particularly with an eye to build speed for new integrations.

  • You think in terms of platforms and systems, not just features, and you balance security, usability, and scalability in every decision.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with common security schemas/frameworks (OCSF, MITRE, ECS)

  • Experience integrating with security vendors (Crowdstrike, Splunk, Palo Alto)

  • Experience working with common ticketing vendors (Jira, ServiceNow)

  • Background in cybersecurity, identity management, or enterprise SaaS security features.

  • Experiencing managing tech leads or other managers.

Required Tech Stack Experience

  • Strong background in backend engineering and/or platform engineering.

  • Expertise in at least one object-orien
