About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Systems Operations Manager
In this role, you will:
- Manage a Systems Operations team of analysts that monitor installed systems and infrastructure
- Engage stakeholders and internal partners associated with the Systems Operations functional area
- Identify and recommend opportunities within Systems Operations to increase system efficiency and lower human intervention time on technical tasks
- Make decisions and resolve issues regarding operating systems, application software, and system management tools to meet business objectives
- Interpret and develop policies and procedures, and understand compliance and risk management requirements for supported system area
- Collaborate and consult with analysts, Information Technology personnel, or vendors
- Manage mid to highly experienced analysts
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Systems Operations
- Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Systems Engineering, and Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 2+ years of Leadership experience
Desired Qualifications:
- Proven experience leading enterprise Release Management functions, with ownership of release strategy, governance, and execution across complex technology landscapes.
- Extensive people leadership background, including managing and mentoring large, geographically distributed teams of Release Managers and Technical Project Managers
- Strong expertise in Agile and DevOps delivery models, with hands-on experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and modern release practices.
- Demonstrated success in managing high‑risk, high‑impact production releases, including go/no‑go decisions, rollback planning, and escalation handling.
- Deep understanding of technology program and project governance, including portfolio oversight, dependency management, and executive‑level reporting.
- Experience driving automation and AI‑enabled delivery solutions, applying predictive analytics, intelligent dashboards, and AI‑assisted risk and impact analysis.
- Solid background in production support and IT Service Management, including Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management aligned with ITIL practices.
- Strong risk, compliance, and quality management experience, ensuring adherence to security controls, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.
- Hands‑on familiarity with cloud platforms and modern tooling, spanning CI/CD tools, monitoring solutions, and enterprise collaboration platforms.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership and balance delivery velocity with operational stability.
