About the role

About Clear Street:

Clear Street is modernizing the brokerage ecosystem. Founded in 2018, Clear Street is a diversified financial services firm replacing the legacy infrastructure used across capital markets.

We started from scratch by building a completely cloud-native clearing and custody system designed for today’s complex, global market. Clear Street’s proprietary prime brokerage platform adds significant efficiency to the market, while focusing on minimizing risk, redundancy, and cost for clients. Our goal is to create a single source-of-truth platform for every asset class, in every country, and in any currency.

By combining highly-skilled product and engineering talent with seasoned finance professionals, we’re building the essentials to compete in today’s fast-paced markets.

The Role:

Clear Street is building its People Analytics capability. Reporting to the Head of HR Operations and Workforce Analytics, the Senior People Analytics Analyst will serve as a strategic thought partner in shaping our People Analytics roadmap while leading the execution of foundational reporting and governance initiatives.

Data Foundation

  • Partner with Engineering to define the logic and requirements for a canonical HR data model
  • Translate business questions into clear metric definitions and structured data requirements, partnering with Engineering to operationalize
  • Validate data integrity, establish durable metric definitions and maintain the data dictionary to ensure long-term scalability

Governance & Standards

  • Define core workforce metrics (headcount, attrition, hiring, forecast, etc.)
  • Implement data governance practices across HR systems
  • Drive alignment on workforce metrics across HR, Finance, and executive reporting

Analytics & Reporting

  • Design and deliver foundational dashboards for headcount, recruiting, and workforce planning, ensuring clarity, usability, and executive readiness.
  • Support workforce forecasting in partnership with Finance
  • Deliver actionable insights to HR and senior leaders

The Team:

This role sits within the People function under the Head of Operations and Workforce Analytics. We are building modern, scalable infrastructure to support a growing financial services firm. Rather than retrofitting legacy systems, we are intentionally designing our data foundations to scale with the business.

This role will work closely with:

  • People Operations and Talent Acquisition
  • Engineering and Data teams
  • Finance (for workforce planning and forecasting)
  • Senior leaders across the business

This is a high-visibility role with direct impact on strategic workforce decisions

Requirements:

Experience

  • 8+ years in People Analytics, including experience building or significantly evolving HR reporting frameworks
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently in ambiguous environments
  • Experience partnering with Engineering and Finance stakeholders
  • Experience in high-growth or financial services environments preferred

Technical & Analytical

  • Strong SQL proficiency
  • Familiarity with data modeling concepts and the ability to define scalable analytics requirements
  • Experience with modern BI/Visualization platforms (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or Sigma)
    • Note: We currently use Sigma but prioritize candidates who understand visualization best practices over specific tool proficiency
  • Strong understanding of HR systems (HRIS, ATS, performance, compensation) and the nuances of people metrics (headcount reconciliation, retention rates).
  • Ability to translate business questions into structured data solutions
  • Strong executive communication and data storytelling skills
  • Ability to think long-term while delivering near-term solutions

Mindset

  • Builder mentality — energized by greenfield opportunities
  • Systems thinker who anticipates scale and governance needs
  • Comfortable challenging assumptions and proposing better solutions

We Offer:

The Base Salary Range for this role is $150,000-$200,000 This range is representative of the starting base salaries for this role at Clear Street. Where a candidate falls in this range will be based on job related factors such as relevant experience, skills, and location. This range represents Base Salary only, which is just one element of Clear Street's total compensation. The range stated does not include other factors of total compensation such as bonuses or equity.

At Clear Street, we offer competitive compensation packages, company equity, 401k matching, gender neutral parental leave, and full medical, dental and vision insurance. Our belief has always been that we are better as a business when we are all together in person. As such, we are requiring employees to be in the office 4 days per week. In-office benefits include lunch stipends, fully stocked kitchens, happy hours, a great location, and amazing views.

Our top priority is our people. We’re continuously investing in a culture that promotes collaboration. We help each other through challenges and celebrate each other's successes. We believe that modern workplaces succeed by virtue of having high-performance workforces that are diverse — in ideas, in cultures, and in experiences. We put in the effort to make such a workplace a daily reality and are proud to be an equal opportunity employer. #LIHYBRID
