About the role

The Reference Data Services Analyst 1 is a trainee professional role. Assists and provides support to Manager and Team members that contribute to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and workflow of the area. Partners effectively with other employees and Citi business units.

Requires a good knowledge of Entity Data Management BAU processes, procedures within main system used and other related systems. A good understanding of the underlying concepts and principles in the Team's processes. Good understanding of how our Team interacts with others in accomplishing the tasks and objectives. Makes evaluative judgements based on the analysis of information. Expected to resolve problems and issues by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired experience and will be guided by precedents. Able to exchange information in a concise and logical way as well as be sensitive to audience diversity. Limited but direct impact on the business EDM serves through the quality of the tasks/services provided.

In this role, you’re expected to:

  • Work APAC & EMEA shift. Shift is between 7AM to 12MN Manila time.
  • Maintain the GFCID data in AMC
  • Identify, research, validate, set up, maintain, and refresh legal entity reference data (leveraging internal/external stakeholders and data sources) on central repositories/applications; legal entity data forms an integral component of credit risk exposure; typically, data spans legal name verification, address, nature of business, ownership, etc.
  • Assist in ad hoc requests and special projects
  • Perform quality reviews/refresh of client reference data and our supporting processes/procedures
  • Work with the team to ensure continuous process improvement
  • Ensure compliance and adherence to set processing standards and controls
  • Liaise with internal/external stakeholders to provide exception management reconciliation/reporting
  • Identify opportunities for improvements to quality of data and client service levels
  • Conduct analysis to map front to back data flows and provide subject matter expertise, providing input to project requirements to drive business, functional and/or system changes
  • Manage the delivery of projects spanning: Technology/Platform roll outs; migrations between various internal/external sources, and responsibility may include coordination and input on project delivery (planning, analysis, requirements gathering, governance, status reporting, scheduling etc.)
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience.
  • 0-2 Experience in working with internal and external data sources to conduct due diligence (Bankers Almanac, Dun & Bradstreet, SWIFT, etc.)
  • Experience of having worked in a banking environment (not essential but useful)
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Strong focus on control and process optimization and documentation
  • Comfortable working with large quantities of data
