The Opportunity

As a Sr. OSAT-Test Support Engineer (OTS) you must learn how to work with both Allegro MicroSystems and Subcontractors personnel. A good relationship with and understanding of subcontractors are vital for the success of this position. As Allegro representative in subcontractor sites, you must act professionally which reflect Allegro business ethics. You must possess a good written and verbal communication skills in both Mandarin and English. At the same time, you must be determined to ensure that Allegro interests are properly addressed by the subcontractors.

What You Will Do

  • Daily monitor of Probe, Test and T&R Yields, Product Quality and Subcontractor Efficiency to maximize throughput according to Allegro requirements.

  • Work with Allegro and Subcontractor Engineers for Yield Improvement Initiatives and other continual improvement activities.

  • Ensure smooth product transfer from Allegro sites to Subcontractors manufacturing operations. Coordinating the shipment of required hardware, device qualification/correlation and other necessary supporting hardware.

  • Work with subcontractors smooth Product Transfer, Correlation, and other Qualification activities. Work closely with both Allegro and Subcontractor Engineers to resolve any issues during product qualification and Production release.

  • Resolve any technical and operational issues during production that cannot be handled by Subcontractor’s internal Test Operations

  • Consult regularly and openly with colleagues in Product, Test and Design Engineering, Quality and Test Operations.

  • Represent Allegro during Audit in coordination with Quality Group and any relevant groups within Allegro.

  • Train Subcontractor Engineers on Allegro requirements (test flows, board debugging, T&R, etc.)

  • Generate Reports of Activities and Open Issues to ensure proper follow-up are done.

  • Nurture good relationship between Allegro and Subcontractors.

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, Industrial, Mechanical) or Computer Science, or a related technical field.

  • Demonstrated expertise in Test Operations, Test Engineering, or Subcontracting within the semiconductor industry.

  • Must be willing to be work full time in Jiangyin, on-station presence/onsite is required at subcontractor test sites / facilities. It also requires occasional travelling outside and within China to support subcontractors and Alle1gro activities. As needed, you will be required to travel to Allegro sites and meeting relevant allegro personnel for meetings, training and product transfer

  • Minimum 5 years working experience in Process / Probe / Test / Tape & Reel Operations

  • Knowledgeable in Quality System management and relevant International Standards such as but not limited to IATF16949, ISO9001, ESD20.20, ISO14001 (EMS), ISO45001(OHS), ISO17025, VDA5.3

  • Experience in operating and maintaining relevant Test equipment such as Teradyne Eagle Test Platform, TEL prober, Rasco gravity feed, Multitest pick and place and other bowl feed handlers.

  • Can understand C/C++ programming, read schematic diagrams and perform electronic/electrical circuit analysis.
