Sugar Land Veterinary Specialty and Emergency (SLVS) is ready to welcome an experienced Emergency Doctor to join our premier multi-disciplinary hospital. This position also serves as the Emergency Department Head, offering an excellent opportunity for a motivated veterinarian to combine clinical excellence with departmental leadership. Since 2007, SLVS has been a pillar of the South Texas veterinary community, providing high-level referral and emergency services within our 19,000-square-foot facility.

Our specialties include Surgery, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Critical Care, Oncology and Imaging. The fully equipped and staffed ER and ICU will help you to manage all your cases to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients during scheduled clinical shifts
- Responsible for the Emergency doctor team schedule
- Oversee daily operations of the ER department in collaboration with hospital leadership
- Support, mentor and guide emergency clinicians and support staff
- Participate in monthly Department Head meetings and contribute to hospital‑wide initiatives
- Assist in developing and implementing departmental protocols, workflows, and quality‑of‑care standards

Qualifications:
- DVM degree
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in emergency medicine, ideally in a specialty hospital
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to manage a diverse emergency caseload
- Demonstrated leadership ability or interest in leadership development
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
