We are looking for a Scanning Engine Developer Intern to help us improve how we detect modern, heavily obfuscated threats.

This full-time internship runs from 15s July to 15s October and is primarily on-site at our offices in Prague or Brno.

What you’ll do

  • Work with our scanning engine team to enhance detection of obfuscated samples (malware, PUAs, other threats)

  • Research simple obfuscation and packing techniques and help design detection strategies

  • Implement and test small improvements in our detection logic under the guidance of senior developers

  • Analyze detection results and help tune rules and signatures to reduce false negatives/positives

What we’re looking for

  • Ongoing studies in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field

  • Basic programming skills (e.g., C/C++ or Python)

  • Interest in malware analysis, reverse engineering, or low-level systems

  • Willingness to learn, experiment, and work with real-world threat samples

  • Good written and spoken English
