Job Description
Position Summary
As the Regional Tax Assistant Manager, you will be involved in management of Southeast Asia and Oceania (SEAO) regional tax matters.In this role, you will also manage the full spectrum of Singapore tax related matters of the Company, covering corporate tax, transfer pricing, withholding tax, and Goods & Services Tax. You will act as a key partner to the business you drive qualitative tax compliance, advice, review, process and tax savings for the Company.
Role and Responsibilities
- Management and reporting of tax issues of subsidiaries within SEAO region
- Effectively manage tax risk of entities in Singapore.
- Liaise with the Tax Authorities in respect of all the tax matters/filing of entities in Singapore, including Corporate Tax, Withholding Tax, Expatriate’s Tax, GST and Transfer Pricing documentation etc.
- Review agreements on all tax related clauses and/or ensure necessary tax implications are all addressed in a favour of entities in Singapore.
- Liaise with auditors, external agents, HQ other relevant stakeholders on tax related matters as and when required.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly/quarterly tax reporting and other tax related reporting as required by the Company for reporting.
- To drive effective implementation of in-country procedures to ensure proper compliance with Singapore tax laws.
- Keep abreast with legislative and regulatory changes and ensure that the Company are informed of relevant changes.
- Report on any tax implications that are favourable /not favourable to the Company and suggest solutions where available
Skills and Qualifications
- 6 - 8 years’ tax experience, preferably from Big 4 firm and/or large MNC
- CPA or equivalent preferred
- Strong tax compliance background
- Degree in Accounting & Finance/ACCA
- Experience in accounting is advantageous
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Able to work in a fast-driven and dynamic work environment
- Ability to meet tight deadlines with minimum supervision
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written skills
