Schedule Details/Additional Information:

Day Shift: Monday-Friday, with varied shifts as needed

Pay Range

$21.15 - $31.75

Major Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and implements all aspects of prospect identification and presents weekly findings to Foundation leadership.

  • Develops, plans and implements cultivation activities inclusive of all necessary event planning to support the engagement of potential prospects. These activities will range from individual tours to large gatherings.

  • Updates and prepares solicitation template materials as needed for presentation to prospects and donors.

  • Supports donor stewardship activities by ensuring each donor's gift is acknowledged through personalized correspondence and annual donor impact reports.

  • Supports market fundraising activities determined by Foundation leadership.

  • Coordinates scheduling of appointments and committee meetings. Oversees and prepares all meeting details, briefings, and materials.

  • Maintains files and accurate database records of prospects and donors, and assists leadership with Foundation projects.

  • Represents the Foundation at community and development events.


Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:

  • None Required.


Education Required:

  • High School Graduate.


Experience Required:

  • Typically requires 3 years of experience in non-profit development and fundraising with particular knowledge of major gift operations.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Knowledge of non-profit fundraising best practices and various forms of development solicitation practices, including events, direct mail, telefunding.

  • Proven success with direct donor solicitation and stewardship.

  • Ability to assess and interpret the needs and wishes of prospective donors and translate into effective action plans. Proven success persuading and influencing others.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills for building strong relationships with donors of all levels, volunteers, community leaders, corporate representatives and foundation officials.

  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office Suite or similar products and experience using fundraising development software.


Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Position may require travel which may result in exposure to road and weather hazards.

  • Exposed to normal office environment.

  • Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
