Carnegie Mellon University’s department of Chemical Engineering is searching for a part-time Research Assistant for the Laird research lab. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated high school student who will support data analysis, application development, and research objectives. Work could include, for example, software development, investigation and summary of existing research reports/papers, presentations, and report/paper writing.
Core Responsibilities:
- Following research plans to collect, record, and analyze research data. Maintains accurate and detailed research records and files.
- Testing software prototypes and interacting with fellow researchers in order to perform job functions.
- Performing basic data analysis to produce reports and contribute to research publications.
- Other duties as assigned.
