Structured geographically, the Regional Business Team is responsible for building and managing the world’s premier communities of business executives from emerging markets, and seek to bring diversity, inclusion, and relevance to global industry conversations.

We are currently seeking a Partner Lead (account manager), India & South Asia, who will be tasked with supporting partner engagement and retention. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio composed of some of India’s largest and most relevant companies across industries including energy, health & healthcare, financial services, information technology, mobility, collaborating with corporate executives to determine and deliver on year-round engagement plans. Overall, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to fundamentally shape the quality of engagement of the World Economic Forum’s partner portfolio in India.

Reporting Lines and Interactions

The Partner Lead (account manager) will report into Head of Business Engagement – India & South Asia. Internally, the successful candidate will work with colleagues from various Government, Centre, Industry and Servicing teams, and externally with a range of business executives and experts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build, strengthen, and expand strategic relationships with top-tier business partners.
  • Design and execute high-impact engagement strategies with Forum activities aligned with partner business objectives.
  • Deliver industry insights and actionable thought leadership that empower business leaders to make informed strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues to develop targeted country and industry engagement strategies by identifying key stakeholders, emerging market trends, and business opportunities to drive impactful partnerships.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Ability to cultivate and sustain executive-level relationships.
  • High partner retention, engagement, and satisfaction scores.

Preferred Requirements and Experience

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field of study
  • Experience working in India, and a strong understanding of the current regional economic landscape in South Asia, particularly India, with proficiency in analysing complex industry issues and in synthetizing appropriate recommendations to senior management
  • 7+ years of professional experience in the private sector, with experience in an industry: energy, mobility, professional services, financial services and in account management, sales, consulting roles.
  • Excellent communication skills and command of English and at least one South Asian language
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office PowerPoint, Excel, Word, CRM
  • Motivated team player who enjoys working in a highly collaborative and dynamic environment
  • Able to respond appropriately to high-level demands under pressure
  • Able to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Passion for driving meaningful impact in global business and policy.
