PRECISION CLEANING TECHNICIAN - 2ND SHIFT
Based out of Rocket Headquarters in Long Beach, CA the Precision Cleaning Technician is responsible for cleaning machined flight hardware components and assemblies.
WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO
- Use advanced cleaning techniques, tools, and equipment to remove contaminants from precision parts, surfaces, and assemblies.
- Perform particle testing, surface analysis, and other verification methods.
- Work in controlled environments such as cleanrooms, adhering to strict cleanliness and contamination control protocols.
- Record cleaning procedures, inspection results, and any deviations in compliance logs.
YOU’LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS
- Familiarity with cleaning techniques such as surface cleaning, solvent cleaning, or particle removal.
- Ability to operate specialized cleaning equipment and tools.
- Basic understanding of inspection methods, including visual, microscopic, and testing.
THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:
- 1+ years of experience in precision cleaning in aerospace industry.
- Experienced in precision cleaning, ultrasonic cleaners, degreasers, oxygen cleaning and clean room methodology/practices.
- Experience bagging parts and creating labels accordingly.
- Experience working in a cleanroom.
- Ultrasonic Cleaning Tanks
- NVR (non-volatile residue).
- Particle Part Testing.
- Experience in the aerospace industry
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Willing to work 2nd shift (Monday- Thursday 3:15pm - 1:45am)
- Ability to travel and communicate outside of work hours
- Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed
- Repetitive assembly operations, grasping, standing, lifting, bending, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position.
- Must be able to move repetitively, bend or twist, and use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls.
- Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods – 8 hours min
