VFX Artist II - VALORANT, Premium Content

As part of the Real-Time VFX team, you will work closely with a team of artists and designers to deliver high quality premium content skin experiences. With your experience, you’ll create aesthetically astounding visual effects that wow and delight our fans adding richness and excitement to the games experience.

As a VFX Artist II on Valorant, we need your help with VFX implementation that clearly communicates the action, impact, and tonal experience. You will report to the VFX Lead, and collaborate with the Premium Content VFX team and your partners across the art team, together will deliver the world's best tactical first person shooter experience.

Responsibilities:

• Employ both 2D and 3D workflows to implement compelling weapon VFX within premium content ecosystem with a refined sense of style
• Design and help implement the sleek, dynamic, and dramatic special effects that add atmosphere and depth to the gameplay
• Balance visual satisfaction and gameplay clarity while working to ensure amazing effects are accurately representing a given action or state
• Use your craft skills to draw, paint, animate and model with equal proficiency as-needed
• Find creative and effective solutions to eliminate difficult problems in production and craft as-needed
• Iterate on art assets with internal and external production artists via paint overs, studies, and group critiques

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of professional experience as a visual effects artist in games or related industries
• Experience working Unity, Unreal, or equivalent game engine VFX tools

Desired Qualifications:

• Unreal Engine 5 experience creating VFX.
• Photoshop and Maya
• Experience with stylized art direction

As a part of the application process, you will be asked to provide a portfolio or demo reel of their work and may be asked to complete an art test.
