About the role

Job Description:

This position is responsible for providing a full continuum of Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services to employees, family members, leaders and teams. This is an entry-level clinical EAP position.

Possible work locations: Ogden, Murray or Provo

Essential Functions

  • Brief solution-focused therapy and support to individuals, couples and families
  • Client notes and case management according to EAP/HIPAA standards
  • Assist with urgent call coverage
  • Provide trainings, adverse event response and other EAP service needs under close supervision
  • Proficient in computer and technical skills

Qualifications

  •  Master’s degree in Counseling or Social Work or Marriage & Family therapy. From an accredited institution.
  • Licensed in the appropriate mental health field*

*In the case of an Associate EAP Counselor candidate: Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor (ACMHC), Certified Social Worker (CSW)  or Associate marriage and family therapist under the supervision of a licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT); actively working toward full licensure.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent interactions with clients, leaders and team members that require employee to verbally communicate, as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
  • Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care and accessing needed information.
  • May be expected to stand or walk for an extended period of time.
