Are you ready to shape the future of spine surgery? As an Associate Product Manager on Medtronic’s Lumbar Spinal Fusion Global Marketing team, you’ll have a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact within Cranial and Spinal Therapies. This role gives you the platform to work directly with some of the most inspiring and skilled spine surgeons in the world, driving innovation that changes lives. You will support global commercialization efforts for a portfolio of cutting-edge spine products. Working cross-functionally with global teams in R&D, clinical, sales, regulatory, operations, and more, you’ll help bring forward solutions that address the complex needs of spine surgery. Your responsibilities will span both upstream and downstream marketing. This includes portfolio strategy and early product development, launch execution, field support, customer education, and commercialization planning. You will support efforts such as set-up/tear-down of cadaveric development labs, customer interactions at conferences and society events, helping the sales field support customers and working with cross-functional internal teams.  

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Learn the market, competitive landscape, and customer needs through research and field feedback to support product and commercialization activities.

  • Support customer adoption and education efforts by helping develop materials, gathering feedback, and coordinating logistics for training and events.

  • Support Voice of Customer (VOC) activities (e.g., advisory boards, customer education events, technology roadshows, validation studies, conference tech suites, and tech expos) by coordinating schedules, preparing materials, and capturing feedback for the team.

  • Support product launch planning and execution by tracking deliverables, compiling inputs, and helping identify opportunities to drive growth.

  • Support engagement with physician customers and other partners by coordinating communications, maintaining contact lists, and helping prepare content that promotes safe and effective use of Medtronic spine procedure products.

  • Provide ongoing customer support for sales and surgeon customers

  • Support cadaver labs and hands-on training events by setting up and breaking down stations, staging instruments/implants, and ensuring materials are organized and ready for use.

  • Provide on-site event support as needed, including supporting conference tech expos/tech suites and coordinating demo logistics.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs and perform repeated bending/stooping and standing for extended periods during lab and event support.

  • Support cross-functional project teams (e.g., R&D, clinical, regulatory, operations) by compiling inputs and helping ensure marketing deliverables stay on track.

  • Support technical conversations and product demonstrations with sales and surgeon customers by preparing demo materials and coordinating needed equipment.

  • Travel <30%

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 0 years of experience.

Nice to Have

  • Master’s degree/MBA in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in sales and/or marketing

  • Knowledge of global healthcare, medical devices market and/or market development

  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to partner and communicate with technical personnel, specifically in spine surgery or healthcare settings would be ideal

  • Success in developing relationships with customers and industry KOLs

  • Proven ability to work in, lead, and motivate cross-functional teams

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$78,400.00 - $117,600.00

 

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).

 

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to all regular employees: Incentive plans, 401(k) plan plus employer contribution and match, Short-term disability, Paid time off, Paid holidays, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Employee Assistance Program, Non-qualified Retirement Plan Supplement (subject to IRS earning minimums), and Capital Accumulation Plan (available to Vice Presidents and above, or subject to IRS earning minimums).

 

Regular employees are those who are not temporary, such as interns.  Temporary employees are eligible for paid sick time, as required under applicable state law, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Please note some of the above benefits may not apply to workers in Puerto Rico.
