Pastry Chef

Our Pastry Chef is responsible for supporting the Head Pastry Chef in managing all aspects of the pastry section, ensuring the delivery of high-quality desserts and baked goods. You will assist in menu planning, stock control, and overseeing food preparation, while supervising the pastry team to maintain smooth and efficient service. The ideal candidate will have experience working in pastry teams, driving operational efficiency, and maintaining strict hygiene and safety standards. Strong communication skills and a focus on staff development and morale will be key to your success in this fast-paced environment. 

About you... 

• At least 2 years of experience in a Pastry kitchen and have a passion to grow. 

• Experience in luxury hotels or fine-dining environments is a plus. 

• Oversee daily pastry related operations, ensuring quality and consistency in all desserts, baked goods, guest amenities and other pastry related items.  

• Manage stock levels and coordinate with the Purchasing Department to ensure freshness and efficiency. 

• Contribute to menu planning and recipe development. 

• Focus on reducing waste, controlling costs, and maximizing profitability. 

• Ensure the pastry operation runs smoothly and meets guest expectations. 

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety in the kitchen. 

• Adhere to hygiene regulations and ensure equipment is properly maintained. 

• Able to work in a dynamic, 24-hour operation, adapting to changing demands.
