Job Description:
The Logistics Account Manager is responsible for driving business growth through sound account management and conversion. He/she is accountable of establishing, driving and implementing a sound sales strategy for UPS Healthcare Logistics and Distribution which includes Managed Transportation across his territory.
He/she acts as the territory Healthcare Logistics and Distribution Logistics Account Manager (LAM) using account planning and sales skills to meet the territory HLD revenue growth targets.
The Logistics Account Manager drives business growth through solution development, customer facing communications, contract development, and negotiation.
Job Responsibilities
Generate new revenue by sourcing for targeted customers that require healthcare warehousing and distribution services.
Develop healthcare services and products in Asia for existing customers and new accounts.
Lead discussions on customer’s business and/or performance reviews with customers.
Maintain accurate reports of customer’s sales performance.
Maintain a listing of target customers in each Asian Country using available resources.
Develop and collaborates with clients and local account Executives to develop strategic solutions with broad supply chain implications to drive territorial growth.
Coordinate sales and account development activities between different countries and Regions.
Maintain an up-to-date listing of future dates of tenders and bids.
Define and understand customer short-term and long-term needs.
Offer direction and assistance to the Enterprise Accounts Executives or Country Sales Managers for those countries without Enterprise Accounts resources.
Maintain an up-to-date database of customer activities using available database tools.
Build and solidify business relationship with key customer personnel.
Identifies key decision makers within customer organizations to expand business opportunities across the enterprise portfolio.
Works with internal stakeholders to develop comprehensive account strategies for retention, penetration and acquisition of accounts.
Job Requirements
Possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Marketing, Business, or relevant discipline. Master’s Degree or MBA will be a plus
Candidate with strong experience background in life science and/or medical device/pharmaceutical industry (or related) with extensive knowledge of GMP/GSP/GDP environment and 3PL/4PL experience will be an added advantage
Candidate with healthcare regulations knowledge or healthcare service experience is strongly preferred
Familiar with ISO certification knowledge (especially ISO 13485:2003)
Proven track record of increasing sales against plan objectives in previous assignments
Business related travel will be required
