Riverland Community College welcomes applications for the intermittent, non-credit, part-time position of Customized Training - Welding Instructor from individuals who are passionate about helping students succeed.

Job Description

We are seeking an instructor dedicated to excellence in teaching who desires to make a difference in the lives of our students. The instructor will be assigned to teach in a traditional classroom and lab format.

Salary Range:

Based on experience

Minimum Qualifications

  • Diploma in Welding.

  • Four (4) full-tie years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience in welding.

  • One year of work experience in welding shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of the application. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two (2) years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.

Preferred Qualification 

  • Willingness to collaborate with community partners.

  • Bilingual/multilingual fluent in Spanish, Karen, Karenni, Somali, Pohnpeian, French, Nuer, Anuak, or other languages that reflect our student body, workforce, and communities.

  • Demonstrated experience working with multicultural and underserved populations.
