Supports the shipping and receiving operations in an aerospace manufacturing environment. This role involves handling incoming and outgoing materials, maintaining accurate records, and following strict quality and safety procedures. Ideal for candidates starting their career in manufacturing or logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
Receiving Support
- Assist with unloading and checking incoming shipments
- Verify items against packing slips and report discrepancies
- Label and store materials in designated locations
- Help inspect parts for visible damage or issues
Shipping Support
- Assist in packaging parts and materials for shipment
- Prepare basic shipping documents and labels
- Ensure items are properly packed to prevent damage
- Help coordinate outgoing shipments with carriers
Inventory Assistance
- Support inventory tracking and organization
- Perform basic data entry into inventory or ERP systems
- Assist with cycle counts and stock checks
- Follow proper handling and storage procedures
Compliance & Quality
- Follow company procedures and aerospace quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas
- Learn and apply traceability practices (lot numbers, part tracking)
- Report damaged or non-conforming materials to supervisors
General Duties
- Work closely with team members, supervisors, and other departments
- Operate basic warehouse equipment (training provided)
- Follow all workplace safety guidelines
Qualifications:
Required
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic math and computer skills
- Ability to read and understand simple instructions and documents
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Reliable attendance and good work ethic
Preferred (Not Required)
- Any warehouse, retail, or stocking experience
- Familiarity with shipping carriers (UPS, FedEx, etc.)
- Interest in aerospace or manufacturing careers
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 25–50 lbs.
