Job Description
Job Summary:
Mission Valley Post Acute is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pulmonary Nurse LVN to join our clinical team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have experience in respiratory care and a strong commitment to providing high-quality nursing services to patients with pulmonary conditions. This role involves close collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to support patient recovery and improve respiratory health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide skilled nursing care to patients with respiratory and pulmonary conditions
Monitor and assess patients’ respiratory status, including oxygen saturation and lung sounds
Administer medications, treatments, and oxygen therapy as prescribed
Assist with pulmonary rehabilitation and breathing treatments (e.g., nebulizers, inhalers)
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals
Accurately document patient care, progress, and any changes in condition
Educate patients and families on respiratory health, treatments, and care plans
Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and facility policies
Qualifications:
Current Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in good standing (California)
Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience; pulmonary or respiratory care experience preferred
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Current CPR/BLS certification required
Schedule:
Part-time hours; flexible scheduling may be available
Weekend and holiday availability may be required
