The QA Lead is responsible for defining, implementing, and overseeing the testing strategy to ensure the quality of our digital products. They lead the QA team, coordinate efforts with the Development and Product teams, and ensure that releases meet our standards of technical excellence and user experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ATTRIBUTES
- Testing Strategy: Define the Master Test Plan for complex projects, selecting appropriate methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and tools.
- Create test cases from approved documentation in QA Tool independently
- Team Leadership: Mentor and guide QA engineers (Manual and Automation), fostering their professional growth and resolving technical roadblocks.
- Defect Management: Monitor the bug lifecycle, prioritize bugs with Product Owners, and ensure timely resolution.
- Process Assurance: Establish and optimize quality standards within the CI/CD pipeline.
- Metrics and Reports: Create quality dashboards (defect density, test coverage, execution speed) to inform stakeholders about the product's health.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Participate in product refinement meetings to ensure requirements are testable from the outset
- Execute various testing types for eCommerce web applications (functional, integration, UI, End-to-end, API) independently
- Create detailed bugs and track their progress through remediation for retesting and provide solutions where needed
- Provide daily statuses to QA Lead on project tasks and progress
- Communicate issues to QA Lead and Project Management that may pose any risk to quality or timeline or solution
- Learn and understand supported platforms and tools
- Assist with lower-level testers in understanding too and process, as needed
- Ability to multi-task across multiple mid to large projects
- Collaborate with team members across regions (North America, LATAM, and Europe)
- Design and execute tests for live production systems to support maintenance projects
- Interact effectively to clients with minimal supervision
- Ability to travel to client site 15 - 20% and perform testing on site
- This is an individual contributor role
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years of experience in quality assurance, production support, or technical support environments
- Experience working with eCommerce platforms including Adobe Commerce, SAP Commerce, etc.
- Solid proficiency in your ability to create and execute test cases independently
