Mobile Veterinarian
Location: Calgary, AB

Vets to Go is welcoming a full-time Veterinarian who is looking for something a little different. Are you interested in a flexible work schedule to balance your professional life with parenting or other personal commitments? We have the perfect opportunity for you!

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a veterinary practice
Fully Licensed Veterinarian in Alberta, registered in good standing with the Alberta Veterinary Medical Association
Knowledgeable about the Calgary or Edmonton area and comfortable driving in the city
Comfortable and experienced working with dogs and cats of all types, sizes, and temperaments, including anxious, fearful, or aggressive animals
Able to work independently with strong remote team support, stay on schedule, and manage time and priorities effectively
Confidence in making diagnoses and carrying out treatment plans
Passionate about providing personalized and compassionate care, and taking pride in making a difference
Adaptable to different situations with strong problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Your Responsibilities:
Attend several in-home appointments each day, delivering high-quality and friendly veterinary care to companion animals (dogs and cats)
Ensure the safety of both yourself and the client (as they often help restrain the animal)
Provide in-home veterinary care, including exams, vaccinations, FNA, small lump removal, blood/urine collection, suturing small wounds, nail trims, home euthanasia, and other typical non-surgical services
Maintain exceptional record-keeping and follow-up to ensure every patient is treated professionally and thoroughly (clients receive test results promptly, and options are given and followed up on based on recommendations)
Be punctual, professional, friendly, and collaborative with clients, ensuring they feel confident and involved in the decision-making process for their animal
Adhere to all policies, procedures, and guidelines of Vets To Go and the Alberta Veterinary Medical Association to ensure high-quality service and client satisfaction
