Description of Work
The Active Treatment Coordinator is a member of the management team within Briarwood Cottage where 45 extremely needy adults with significant intellectual deficits reside. More specifically, the population served has profound IDD and relies heavily on staff to meet all of their daily needs and fill their schedule with functional and meaningful experiences. Additionally, the majority of residents in Pineview have ambulation issues and require staff assistance for mobility as well as regularly display maladaptive behaviors that require basic level of intervention. The Active Treatment Coordinator provides administrative oversight regarding the development, coordination and provision of structured programming efforts for all people who live within Briarwood Cottage. This includes helping the treatment team assess need and then create, modify, and implement individualized daily living, social skills, work readiness/vocational, medication administration, fitness, and leisure programming while recognizing the needs and resources of the cottage in its entirety. This position also maintains oversight of building-wide goal observation system and provides direct supervision to the educational assistants (3) and special events coordinator (1) assigned to Briarwood Cottage. Additionally, this position provides guidance and feedback to all staff as it pertains to programming throughout the division/building which includes multiple units. The position will serve as Acting Unit Manager in the absence of any Unit Manager in the building (vacancies, etc.) and will provide direction and guidance to all staff in the building (which encompasses multiple units) including those not directly supervised. These positions may also act as the Division Director in his/her absence.This Position Is Designated As Mandatory And Must Report Or Stay Over During Adverse Weather Events.

Recruitment Range: $41,206.00 - $72,113.00

- Working knowledge of active treatment programs and their implementation procedures according to ICF regulations and MDC policies.
- Ability to evaluate, develop and implement person-centered services within a division/group living setting.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and develop cooperative working relationships with Team members, staff and individuals with IDD.
- Demonstrated ability to provide information and effective feedback in oral and/or written form.
- Demonstrated efficiency with word processing.
- Demonstrated experience using effective training techniques with individuals who have IDD.
This is a QIPD position, which requires a Bachelor's degree(Counseling & Guidance, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counseling, Social Work, Special Education & Nursing) to meet ICF/ID Federal Regulations.
Anticipated vacancy as of 5/16/2026.
This Position Is Designated As Mandatory And Must Report Or Stay Over During Adverse Weather Events.
Scheduled working hours are: 8am - 5pm, five days per week (Monday - Friday) with one late night 11:30am - 8pm.

Bachelor’s degree in a human services or related field((Counseling & Guidance, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counseling, Social Work, Special Education & Nursing) from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of experience providing professional or direct services (either paid or volunteer) in a setting that serves individuals with disabilities.
