About the opportunity
In this role, you support QIAGEN’s downstream processing operations by applying specialized technical and scientific expertise to daily manufacturing activities. You work hands‑on with recombinant protein purification and formulation processes, operate advanced laboratory and production equipment, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. The position is based in a regulated ISO/GMM environment and offers the opportunity to further develop deep technical expertise in bioprocessing within a defined‑term employment contract lasting until 31 December 2027.
Your tasks include
Supporting operational processes and workplace equipment with specific technical and scientific know‑how
Participating in recombinant protein purification using chromatography and filtration techniques
Performing protein formulation activities in both liquid and powder forms
Operating advanced equipment such as ÄKTA systems, filtration units, HPLC, and freeze dryers
Providing subject‑matter expertise upon request and contributing to process and workplace improvements
Preparing and maintaining documentation records in line with the Quality Management System
Your profile
Higher education degree (Engineer or Master’s) in Biotechnology or a related scientific field
Minimum 2 years of laboratory experience, including purification of recombinant proteins from genetically modified microorganisms in an ISO/GMM environment
Fluency in Polish and intermediate proficiency in English
Experience with yeast or bacterial fermentation and bioreactor operation is an advantage
Openness to employment under a fixed‑term contract valid until 31.12.2027
