About the Team
Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Experience is part of Global Business Operations and covers a set of planning, forecasting & analytical activities that support business decisions and help understanding of overall financial health by combining financial, operational and external data in one place. It involves supporting strategic planning, leading Annual Operating Planning (AOP), supporting landing, handling performance analysis, and generating insights on strategic market and regional level.
Leadership Responsibilities:
The FP&A Senior Manager is a member of the senior LT with dedicated responsibilities around organizational effectiveness and transformation agenda, capability building and people development.
Regardless of role location the FP&A Senior Manager is required to lead, coordinate, coach people both in an immediate team, as well as across the related teams in FP&A tower and in-market when it comes to all aspects of financial performance matters.
Purpose of the role:
To ensure management and execution of the Performance management agenda through development of a robust annual plan, reinforced by a monthly rhythm of processes and analysis to deliver timely information and insight, forecasting and to enable the organization to make high quality decisions which drive peer group leading performance.
Top Accountabilities
- Drives the monthly BPM cycle and Landing and O&R reviews. Responsible for the management of cash flow and extended working capital requirements, processes.
- Develop an efficient and effective planning process for the organisation, ensuring all internal and external factors are considered in developing a robust plan in service of our strategic ambition that effectively allocates our global resources. Work with business partners and stakeholders to deliver the planning process in line with standards and timelines.
- Focus the Business Unit Leadership team on the interventions required to keep performance on track and ensure that the process supporting the BPM cycle is robust and delivers the right information each month in a timely and fit for purpose manner.
- Lead the evolution of data and reporting foundations to provide robust, timely, and fit-for-purpose measurement and insight generation in support of performance management, including production and maintenance of dashboards.
- Leverage AI and automation tools to streamline reporting and analytics
- Continually aim for best practice and develop a culture for innovation and continuous improvement in service of continued efficiency and effectiveness.
- Able to influence the decision-making process and support themid-term strategy conversation
Qualification and Experience Required
- Degree educated in relevant finance / accounting/ business.
- Proven experience(12 + years) management in financial accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis is required. Cash Forecasting and performance management and/or Financial Controlling experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience working in Supply Chain/Operations well preferred.
- Tools : Microsoft 365, PowerBI, Automation, sophisticated Excel Skills
- Experience in a global FMCG or similar multifaceted operating environment
- Fluency in English and Japanese language required.
Commercial Acumen: Understand the whole business operation in detail and can see connections across departments to see the big picture. Aware of competitors for existing core business. Recognizes key trends and industry characteristics.
Influencing: Establish relationships with teams across business units and markets. Proven ability to impact and influence, at a senior collaborator level, virtually across markets with solid networking, influencing & communication skills.
Effective Communication: Construct short story lines, adapt documents and presentations for the intended audience (complexity, detail, altitude). Presents material in a clear confident manner & leads non-verbal communication, in service to message.
