The Position
The Opportunity
As a Cluster Section Lead, you will inspire and empower a dedicated accounting team to deliver high-quality financial services. Operating within our dynamic global shared services hub, you will oversee day-to-day operations, drive accurate financial reporting, and ensure the highest standards of internal controls and regulatory compliance.
In this impactful leadership role, you will:
Drive Financial Operational Excellence: Plan, lead, and oversee the execution of comprehensive financial tasks, ensuring complete and timely general accounting operations.
Master Closing Activities: Coordinate and execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, ensuring accurate account closures in compliance with financial instructions and timelines.
Lead and Inspire: Foster a positive and open team environment where communication thrives. You will delegate tasks, establish clear completion goals, and motivate team members to achieve their operational targets.
Nurture Talent and Careers: Identify the skills needed to meet business objectives and actively develop your staff's capabilities, helping them map out and achieve their long-term career goals.
Establish Strategic Goals: Collaborate with the operations teams to set annual performance objectives, ensuring team results align perfectly with our global shared services goals.
Champion Governance and Compliance: Ensure all business activities adhere strictly to internal financial reporting controls, corporate policies, local statutory legal requirements, and high ethical standards.
Optimize Documentation and Processes: Maintain up-to-date work documentation and process flows, resolving operational issues or conflicts proactively through constructive feedback.
Who You Are
You are an experienced finance professional and an empathetic leader who excels at motivating teams, managing performance metrics, and defining robust operational procedures in a complex corporate landscape.
Your Qualifications:
Educational Background: You hold a Degree, Diploma, or equivalent professional qualification in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
Professional Experience: You bring a minimum of 5 years of working experience in corporate finance, with a strong emphasis on general accounting and management accounting.
People Leadership: You possess at least 3 - 5 years of experience managing, leading, and developing high-performing accounting or finance teams.
Industry Context: Experience working within a global shared services center (SSC) or business process outsourcing (BPO) environment is highly preferred.
Systems and Technical Savvy: You have strong working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) accounting systems (such as SAP) alongside advanced proficiency in standard business tools (MS Office/Google Workspace).
Communication & Analytical Strength: You possess exceptional presentation, analytical, and communication skills, with absolute professional fluency in English.
Autonomy and Collaboration: You are comfortable working with minimal direction to determine methods on new assignments, while collaborating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
