In this role, you will:

  • Facilitate the scrum process with cross functional impact that involve moderately complex projects, non-projects, or maintenance work
  • Guide the scrum teams to follow Agile and Scrum practices to actively promote prioritization, team readiness, and commitment for each Sprint
  • Optimize scrum team velocity to identify improvement opportunities to achieve higher levels of team performance
  • Deliver capabilities using agile practices while also following the Software Development Lifecycle, business process mapping, and various release processes as appropriate to ensure all risk, security, and development requirements are met
  • Partner with discipline managers about governance policies and adherence to corporate standards
  • Facilitate the Scrum Agile ceremonies for the teams
  • Collaborate with product owners, program or project managers to communicate delivery of work product from the team and escalate key risks and issues impeding scrum team effectiveness
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Interact with internal customers
  • Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Agile Scrum Master experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s / Master Degree in Engineering or equivalent
  • First level Scrum Master certification (PSM I, CSM)
  • Second or Third level Scrum Master certification (PSM II, PSM III, CSP, CTC)
  • Experience being on multiple Scrum teams in a variety of different contexts (different team sizes, different organizations, different cultures, co-located vs. distributed, etc.)
  • Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games
  • Applicable knowledge of the technologies used by the team
  • Experience applying a wide variety of well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach(example: numerous Burn down techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc)
  • Previous experience as a collaborative leader
  • Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least two years for a Scrum team.
  • The role exists to ensure successful delivery of technology solutions across a product area by:

  • coordinating delivery across multiple teams and products,
  • managing dependencies, risks, and release readiness,
  • aligning product, technology, and stakeholder expectations, and
  • coaching teams on Agile, product, and modern engineering practices to improve execution quality and predictability.

  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Ability to work directly with US partner teams
  • Should be willing to work in shifts to provide better overlap with the US partner team & EGS teams
  • Expect independent decision making on strategic solutions, be proactive and drive projects to completion.
  • Product Area Delivery Leadership
    •    Coordinate delivery across multiple teams aligned to a product area, including test and release coordination, to improve delivery accountability and reduce cross-team friction. 
    •    Manage dependencies across teams, product areas, and platforms to support cohesive and timely deployment of hardware and software.
    •    Serve as a primary liaison between stakeholders to align goals, expectations, timelines, and delivery commitments.
    •    Communicate frequently with stakeholders, escalate impediments, help manage risk, and drive relentless improvement in delivery outcomes.
    Agile / Scrum Leadership
    •    Coach teams on Agile principles, routines, and continuous improvement practices, including reinforcing working agreements, DoR/DoD discipline, and modern delivery behaviors.
    •    Support team effectiveness by monitoring team health, collaboration, and execution signals and helping leaders address improvement opportunities.
    •    Facilitate / drive product-area cadences such as weekly L2 connects / sync meetings to review features, backlog health, risks, impediments, and adoption challenges. 
    •    Help teams and leaders maintain consistent delivery metrics and dashboards to improve transparency and actionability. 
    Release & SDLC Readiness
    •    Review SDLC artifacts, fix versions, and release readiness items to ensure stories and deliverables are included in time for release code freezes and production readiness milestones. 
    •    Assist in ensuring compliance, SDLC, ECM, and change-management efforts are understood and adopted across the product area.
    •    May serve as a testing authority at the product or product-area level, depending on organizational need.
    •    Drive operational readiness expectations, including ensuring teams are prepared for release, risk review, and production support handoff where required.
    Dependency, Risk, and Capacity Management
    •    Identify, track, and help mitigate delivery risks and cross-team dependencies impacting product outcomes.
    •    Facilitate or support dependency / risk management forums and ensure issues are escalated appropriately when stakeholder decisions are required. 
    •    Perform L2 capacity planning, including factoring PTO / leave calendars and team availability into sprint / delivery planning. 
    •    Support quarterly / PI planning by aligning teams on objectives, dependencies, and release impacts.
    Metrics, Governance, and Tooling
    •    Review backlog health, balanced scorecard metrics, and delivery dashboards with Product Owners, Tech Leads, and Technology Managers to drive action and consistency across teams. 
    •    Review Stories / Features and help teams interpret adoption, quality, and readiness trends. 
    •    Support technology feature creation in partnership with Product Owners, to ensure appropriate initiative alignment and execution routing. 
    •    Use metrics, dashboards, and regular reporting to surface performance trends, blockers, and opportunities for improvement. 
    Coaching, Change Leadership, and Operating Model Adoption
    •    Serve as a coach to teams and leaders on behaviors and practices required to successfully implement the product operating model.
    •    Foster collaboration, mentor team members, and drive continuous improvement across the product area.
    •    Help teams adapt to role evolution and delivery model changes as the organization moves from Scrum Master-heavy support toward broader release-delivery accountability.
