Global Business Systems – Scrum Master

Your Impact

You will shape, prioritize, and deliver solutions transforming the way PTC provides support to its customers.

Your Team

As a member of our IT team, you will work with business stakeholders to define and prioritize features and user stories based on business value. You will interact daily with one or more agile teams to design and deliver solutions. This role will require collaboration with business owners, developers, testers, and analysts to produce solutions with predictability and quality.

Your Day-To-Day:

As SCRUM Master, you will be responsible for applying SCRUM to produce high-quality work.  Scrum Master duties include managing timelines, resolving problems and coaching team members on Agile methodologies.

Ultimately, you’ll help create self-organizing teams that are flexible and fully productive during sprints.

Responsibilities:

• Lead team through the use of standard Scrum ceremonies
• Facilitate all standard Scrum/agile cadence practices including Daily Stand Up, Sprint Planning, Release Planning, Sprint Retrospective, and Backlog refinement activities
• Operate as a Servant Leader, Coach and Agile Evangelist to Agile teams and other personnel.
• Monitor and report on Agile metrics and team performance
• Foster an attitude of self-management on the team.
• Standardize scrum practices among teams
• Acting as safeguard for his team
• Communicate release details and schedules to stakeholders required
• Guide development teams to higher SCRUM maturity

Skills and knowledge:

• Ability to coach team and stakeholders on Agile practices and ensure adherence to Agile methodology
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate and run effective meetings required
• Critical thinker and excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to effectively communicate with a variety of people, such as engineers and non-technical coworkers
• High degree of self-direction and motivational skills
• Ability to objectively assess priorities and address conflict when needed
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to effectively collaborate with global team

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 2+ years’ experience as a SCRUM master or similar role
• 5+ years’ experience in IT organizations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Scrum Master certification
