About the role
We have a brand-new role available for a proactive, and experienced Territory Manager (Electrical) to join our high‑performing sales team. Managing a defined territory across Wellington, Hawkes Bay, Palmerston North, and New Plymouth, the role offers ownership of growing our Electrical portfolio and strengthening our presence across key customer channels. You will work closely with the New Zealand sales team to develop and execute territory plans, identify growth opportunities, and convert projects through solution‑focused selling and technical support. You will build trusted relationships with electrical wholesalers, end users, and industry stakeholders, positioning Aliaxis as a partner of choice within the Electrical segment.

What will you do?
- Build and maintain strong relationships with wholesalers, end users, and key industry stakeholders by responding to product enquiries and providing practical, solution‑based support.
- Manage relationships across a defined sales territory through regular customer visits, supporting existing accounts, identifying new opportunities, and guiding projects from specification through to completion.
- Maintain consistent and effective customer engagement aligned with sales plans and regional priorities, acting as a trusted product expert by providing technical advice, guidance, and training to key customer groups.
- Use sales data, market insights, and customer feedback to refine your sales approach and continuously improve territory performance.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure customers receive timely, seamless, and consistent service and support.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of customer interactions, opportunities, and territory plans using CRM systems.
- Comply with health and safety requirements, company policies, and responsibly manage company vehicles, tools, and other assets.
About you
- 3-5 years proven experience in a territory sales and account management ideally within the Electrical, Manufacturing or related industry.
- Demonstrated experience in project sales, with the ability to identify opportunities, influence specification, and convert projects through strong stakeholder engagement
- Strong communication and negotiation capability, with the ability to effectively hold to the Aliaxis value proposition
- Proven ability to work autonomously across a regional territory while remaining connected and collaborative within a team environment
- Sound understanding of account management, balancing new business development with ongoing customer care
- Highly motivated and persuasive, with a commercially driven and results‑focused approach
- Strong planning, organisational, and administrative skills, with a high level of attention to detail
- Technical aptitude and willingness to learn new products, systems, and processes
- Willing to travel regularly within the territory, with a strong focus on safety and fatigue management.
- Hold a valid New Zealand driver’s licence and are a NZ Citizen or Permanent resident
