• Execute ongoing system configuration changes, such as business processes, foundational data, and security model updates, and participate in the bi weekly Agile sprint development process for Tier 3 requests and feature enhancements, adhering to SDLC methodology and Workday Change Management protocols.
• Architect and design end to end solutions that include Workday configuration, integrations, and downstream system impacts, working closely with integration and platform engineering teams.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, translate them into technical designs, and configure, test, and deploy changes into production.
• Maintain and develop Workday documentation, including standard operating procedures, quick reference guides, technical design documentation, and training materials.
• Work closely with integration teams to ensure reliable, scalable connectivity between Workday and external systems, supporting and enhancing integrations for HCM and Payroll.
• Apply software engineering best practices such as modular design, reusability, error handling, monitoring, and automation, to improve system reliability and reduce operational risk.
• Optimize and automate business processes, with a focus on Payroll, Security, and integrations, to improve efficiency and data consistency across the organization.
• Partner with Compliance and Information Security to ensure solutions meet data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify opportunities for automation, architectural improvements, and technical debt reduction across the Workday ecosystem.
WHAT’S REQUIRED
• 5–8 years of Workday HCM experience with hands-on expertise in Payroll, Security, and integrations.
• Software engineering background with the ability to design, debug, and support complex workflows and integrations.
• Deep functional understanding of Workday Payroll, including processing, compliance, tax setup, and external payroll integrations.
• Strong expertise in Workday integrations and security, including EIBs, Core Connectors, Studio, APIs, vendor-managed integrations, domain security policies, and user- and role-based security.
• Hands-on experience with Workday modules such as Compensation, Benefits, Absence, and Time Tracking.
• Proven experience architecting end-to-end solutions across Workday configuration, integrations, and downstream systems.
• Expertise in report writing (Advanced, Matrix, Composite) and EIB uploads to automate and optimize business processes.
• Ability to gather requirements, evaluate technical trade-offs, and translate business needs into scalable solutions.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to the highest ethical standards.
