Hiring: MES Software Analyst (Client Location) | New Era Technology

About the Role:

New Era Technology is looking for experienced MES Software Analyst to be deployed at our prestigious client in Malaysia at their Bayan Lepas, Penang office.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, implement, and maintain MES solutions, process/operation automation in manufacturing (Industrial 4.0) and related interfaces integrated MES with ERP system (e.g. SAP) and shop floor automation (e.g. IoT)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand manufacturing processes, identify system requirements, and deliver tailored IT solutions.
Document technical solutions, SOPs, and user manuals to ensure knowledge sharing and maintainability.
Prepare training to business users, perform IT Acceptance Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on MES/MES Extended solutions.
Develop scripts, services, and dashboards to support manufacturing KPIs, traceability, and data-driven decision-making.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in manufacturing applications, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
Provide 24*7 Production Support on MES/MES extended solution.
Lead or support manufacturing system upgrades, migrations, and implementations.

Qualifications:

Master Degree/Bachelor's Degree/Professional Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
3~5 years of experience in software development or system analysis within a manufacturing or industrial environment
Know-how on Change Management Process, Incident Management Process, Demand Management process, System Development Life Cycle
Capable of leading and influencing a virtual team composed of members from diverse organizations.

Skills / Knowledge

Manufacturing process, MES and extended MES solution know-how

Experience in database design and performance optimization are preferable Methodic
LEAN principle, FMEA, 8D Problem Solving are added advantage
Strong programming skills in languagues such as C# .NET, Java, Python, or similar
Strong in
