We have an exciting contract opportunity to see you in the door as our Materials Planner.  You will be responsible for the scheduling, issuing and coordinating of Raw and Packaging materials for the Ringwood site.  For over 50 years, our factory in Ringwood has been home to Cherry Ripe bars, Picnic bars & Cadbury Easter products. Each Easter, Ringwood produces more than 450 million Easter Eggs & 15 million bunnies for chocolate lovers in Australia and New Zealand.

You will partner closely with Vendors to ensure inbound deliveries of materials are received according to MRP (Materials Requirements Plan).  You will support the execution of production plan and production scheduling priorities as required whilst preventing waste and following all Company policies and procedures. 

How you will contribute

You will:

  • Raise purchase orders for inbound RPMP (Raw and Pack Materials Plan) requirements based on the MRP outputs and optimize daily Vendor deliveries to meet production orders to meet CTS (Compliance to Schedule). 
  • Work effectively with internal (production, procurement, stores, logistics, plant BD-business development and other functional resources) & external stakeholders (transportation, vendors etc.) to ensure consistent and reliable supply of materials for production use in accordance with our standards, procedures and protocols.  
  • Communicate with Vendors and monitor orders to ensure conformance to due date. Track DIFOT (delivery in full on time) for purchase orders.  Escalation of supplier issues to Materials Manager and Procurement as required to ensure compliance to plant CTS. Identify risks and opportunities in medium term material supply plans and proactively drive dialogue and escalation.  
  • Propose & advise changes to item masterdata that has a negative or positive impact to DIOH, CTS or write off including changes to lead time, safety time, safety stock and minimum lot or buy quantities as required. 
  • Adopt IL6S-Integrated Lean 6 sigma ways of working and standard work processes.  Actively participate in SN-Supply Network pillar activities and lead systems and projects to drive Supply Chain loss analysis and elimination. 

What you will bring

  • 2+ years relevant experience in material planning, supply planning, inventory control/management, procurement and or supply chain. 
  • Experience in fast moving, manufacturing environment, preferably food or other fast moving, dynamic industry. 
  • Computer proficiency (MS Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint) & technical experience in ERP/MRP (SAP) systems 
  • Excellent communication (Verbal and Written) skills and strong collaboration/ stakeholder management skills. 
  • Analytical & problem-solving skills and attention to detail 
  • Priority Setting and results driven
