What You’ll Do:

Product and Technology Counseling

• Partner with Data, Technology, and Operations teams on enterprise product and transformation initiatives, primarily supporting end‑to‑end merchandising, buy planning, and inventory optimization transformation and related enterprise initiatives.

• Provide legal guidance across the full lifecycle of technology and product development, from design through deployment and governance.

• Advise on enterprise systems, data architecture, and inventory and merchandising platforms.

• Support product and technology teams in balancing innovation, operational needs, and risk management.

AI, Data Governance & Pricing

• Advise on responsible AI/ML and emerging technologies, including model governance, data use, and vendor tools.

• Counsel on pricing laws, including algorithmic and multi-state pricing requirements.

• Support enterprise data governance frameworks, including data ownership, usage, and data-sharing structures.

Commercial & Vendor Work

• Negotiate and draft technology and commercial agreements related to SaaS, data, professional services, AI/ML and emerging technologies.

• Manage outside counsel, consulting partners, and other third-party stakeholders.

• Identify and mitigate legal and operational risks in technology and data initiatives.

• Monitor legal and regulatory developments impacting data and technology.

Cross-Functional Counsel

• Serve as a day-to-day legal partner to product, technical, and operational stakeholders.

• Coordinate with Privacy & Regulatory, IP, Brand, and Commercial Legal colleagues to deliver aligned advice.

• Support strategic planning tied to technology and operational transformation.

• Help build scalable legal playbooks, intake processes, and risk frameworks.

Required:

• JD and active U.S. bar admission; eligible for in-house registration in Pennsylvania.

• 6+ years of experience in technology, product, data, or commercial transactions.

• Experience advising product and engineering teams in fast-paced environments.

• Working knowledge of one or more of: AI/ML legal issues, pricing and consumer protection law, data governance and privacy, complex SaaS/technology contracting.

Preferred:

• Retail, e-commerce, or consumer-products industry experience.

• Experience supporting large transformation programs.

• Familiarity with supply chain, merchandising, or inventory systems.

• Experience working with consulting firms and cross-functional leadership teams.

• In-house experience preferred

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Advanced Degree

• JD Degree

• 3-5 years of experience

• Experience practicing law, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department.
