About the role
Job Summary:
The Red Hat Sales team is looking for an experienced Strategic Accounts Manager to join us in Tokyo, Japan. In this role, you will be responsible for Telecommunication companies in Japan. You'll promote sales, ensure customer satisfaction, and manage booking numbers. As a lead for your account team, you will orchestrate internal resources and drive collaborative strategies to exceed ambitious growth targets. You will develop and maintain relationships within these accounts and work to sell Red Hat's solutions, including professional services. You'll need to have excellent communication skills, as you will regularly call customer executives within your assigned accounts. You'll also need to understand executives' challenges to make call scenarios, define problems, and demonstrate how Red Hat's offerings and solutions can solve them.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Create and implement account plans to ensure that short and long-term revenue goals are met.
Lead the extended account team (including technical and services functions) to develop a unified strategy for achieving large-scale business objectives.
Develop the relationship with C-level executives.
Develop and close sustainable booking across technologies.
Accurately forecast and close sales in accordance with company goals.
Understand customer business challenges and demonstrate how to address them using Red Hat's solutions and services.
Find new opportunities within your assigned clients.
Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, marketing, or a technical discipline.
Sales experience, preferably in the software or IT industry for a telecommunications or cellular carrier; demonstrated record of success.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams to achieve high-impact results and exceed sales quotas.
Understanding of the complete sales cycle management from prospecting to closing.
Excellent communication skills in Japanese; language skills in English are a plus.
Ability to work as part of a fast-paced team while demonstrating flexibility, initiative, and leadership.
