Description of Work
The Domestic Marketing Section helps North Carolina’s producers, processors, and agribusinesses grow by identifying, developing, and expanding markets for homegrown agricultural products. Through targeted market research, strategic marketing initiatives, buyer outreach, promotions, and consumer education, the team drives demand and elevates North Carolina agriculture. Using digital, print, broadcast, and outdoor channels, the section strengthens the state’s largest industry and delivers meaningful economic impact.The Retail Marketing Specialist II drives impactful marketing that elevates NC agricultural products across local, regional, and national markets. This position will manage key initiatives with growing autonomy and help shape strategic campaigns. Through collaboration with industry partners and buyers, this position will deliver creative, result-driven marketing that boosts the visibility and competitiveness of NC agriculture.

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, crop science, animal science, horticulture, home economics or related area of assignment from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of experience in the related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.EEO Statement
